This project involved placing solar PV installations on airport terminals and other buildings throughout the state of Hawai`i. The total project involved over 1 MW of solar installations, and required placement of a large amount of tax equity at a time when the tax equity capital markets were extremely tight. Through innovative structuring, careful diligence and relentless follow-through, we were successful in getting a term sheet on this project in under two weeks from a major national tax equity investor, and to closing and recordation of the financing documents in less than 4 weeks after that. Financial closing of the project was December 2008.
